$50 · Adorable and sweet cat for rehoming

Bonnie is a cuddly girl full of love. She needs her snuggles at the end of the day and will be waiting for you to get into bed so she can cuddle on your lap. During the day she usually does her own thing, which is either sleeping or sitting on pillows, in bags, or on the window sill. She is silly and will lie on her back and let you know when she wants scratches and attention. She is an indoor cat but loves to go on the patio and the small size of my new place is another reason why I'm rehoming her. She doesn't like my new studio apartment and she is restless and wanting to explore and ideally have an outdoor space. She is around 10 years old and she still has enough energy to chase flies and sometimes get the zoomies, but she also loves her rest and is lazy in general. I adopted her when she was 5 years old from the SPCA and she is from Salt Spring Island originally. She has changed hands a few times so she needs a stable home that can commit to loving her for a long time and giving her stability. I unfortunately am having to rehome her because I cannot financially care for her and my lifestyle does not allow me to give her the companionship she needs. I just went back to school as well as working and I am just not home enough to give her enough company. She also had had diabetes in the past-she is in remission now because of a healthier diet of exclusively wet food (which she loves). She does need vet checkups to monitor this and make sure her sugars are still good but she currently doesn't need any special treatment. She has scratched on occasion and hissed when is scared. She will sometimes give you a love bite when she doesn't want anymore pets. She doesn't love other animals and I haven't had her around young children but I don't think she would like them either. She doesn't like being touched without permission or loud or unpredictable behaviour. I think she would be totally fine with older children however. She can be scared around guests and may hide when they come over, but once she is comfortable she will be asking for pets and cuddles. Bonnie is a sweetheart and this has been an extremely hard decision but she deserves someone who can love her and give her the time and space she needs. She is suited for a single person or a couple without young kids who want something to love and look after.
