Shelter: BC SPCA - Burnaby Branch Animal ID: 524160 Birthdate: February 13, 2012 - Senior Spayed/Neutered: Yes Male Tux is an older gentleman looking for a quiet and calm home with adults only. This sweet boy can get very stressed by change, new environments and people. When stressed out, he will stop eating, and may take a few days to settle. Once he gets comfortable he will start to show his very affectionate side and will seek you out for attention however he really needs someone with cat experience to understand when he wants to be left alone. When relaxed and comfortable, his sweet and affectionate personality comes out and he turns into a kneading purr machine. He does get vocal and demand attention when he is in the mood for snuggles. He loves treats, loves to be brushed, and enjoys a good cuddle session. He is the perfect cat for the afternoon cat nap on the couch, especially if it's a sunny spot. He can also be mischievous, we have caught him trying to open the door handle to his room! Tux does get very scared going to the vet and being contained so is looking for a home that will understand this behaviour and work with their vet to ensure the experience is as low stress as possible. Tux would be best as the only pet in the home as other animals would be too overwhelming for him. If you think you have the type of home Tux is seeking please be sure to apply today! ***In order to protect the health of our staff, volunteers and members of the public during the COVID-19 pandemic, we've made changes to our adoption process. 1.
