Our client, a leading chocolate manufacturer, specializes in one-shot depositing and high speed wrapping, including nut butter cups, bars, squares, filled chocolates, bark bites and much more. They are looking for a Maintenance Millwright to join their growing team in Delta, BC. Overtime and weekend shifts may be available. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays, if needed. Requirements: Red Seal or BC Provincial Millwright license is a must. Occupational First Aid Ticket – Level 2 or willingness to obtain certification. 5 years’ experience in a batch process and high-speed packaging manufacturing – preferably in the food industry. Knowledge of food safety and GMPs. Excellent mechanical aptitude and electrical troubleshooting is a plus. Strong knowledge of manufacturing safety and quality regulations. Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented with a high degree of initiative and flexibility. Good communication skills in English – written and verbal. Good computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) Analytical and problem-solving skills are an asset in this role. Strong interpersonal, leadership and team building skills. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays, if needed. Open to learn and train team members. Able to work on foot for long periods of time. Occasionally climbing ladders. Wear protective clothing, such as coats, hair nets and safety shoes. Exposure to machinery sounds and loud noise levels. Ability to push, pull, bend and lift (typically up to 25 kgs). This working environment contains allergens.
