This sweet ham came into care with his BFF Charlie- both were found as strays together wandering up north. We understand it's a plus-sized ask to take on two gentle giants, but we promise the reward will be as big as their personalities. Rufus is much more reserved than Charlie and depends on having Charlie by his side to build his confidence. He can be fearful of new people at first, so slow, quiet movements are key to building his trust. Once we get Rufus out of the shelter, his personality starts to shine. He is very playful and loves to bounce around with his pal Charlie. He is the energetic one of the pair, and often gets the zoomies, doing laps around his lazier counterpart. Due to his long luscious coat, Rufus will need regular grooming to keep him looking and feeling his best. We are looking for a home for the two with yard access- apartments and townhomes will not be suitable for their combined 250 lbs of love! Due to their size, and Rufus' hesitancy- an adult only home with mature children would be best.
