$450 · 3 day lodge based current clinic at Surge Narrows, Vancouver Island

We have a few spots available on our next current clinic on Quadra Island, Vancouver Island. March 15 - 17 Arrive Friday morning at Discovery Island Lodge, where you will stay for the next 2 nights. (Price Includes 2 nights lodge accommodation and meals) Also there is a wood fired sauna to relax in at the end of the day. This current clinic will run over 3 days. During this time we will have plenty of time to use both ebb and flood currents to practice and apply a full range of strokes for effective paddling in moving water. Skills include; ferry glides, S- turns, J- turns, entering and exiting current, rolling in current and rescue scenarios in dynamic water. There will also be a theory presentation on tides and currents during which, participants will learn how to read and interrupt current tables in relation to safe paddling. This clinic presents the intermediate paddler with an excellent opportunity to accelerate the learning process in a safe and controlled environment.
