We have a low mileage, 1987 Land Cruiser for sale, It's been off the road since April/2018, but ran when parked, originally from Saltspring Island here in BC, its almost criminal how few miles have been put on this wonderful diesel beast. *EDITED FOR UPDATES* It's an automatic, with the 2H straight 6 and a 4-speed automatic transmission, all original except perhaps the front windshield and a replacement front bumper with 24V Warn 8000 series winch built in (Never used by us, unsure of condition or working status). It also has the very uncommon A/C option with the original pump (still freewheeling). It has rust on the body, and there is rust in the frame as well, the price reflects the needs of this car, the engine alone has been appraised at 2000$+ in its current shape and the winch (even if it needs a rebuild) at 1000$+, so the price is a good one for both you, and I. It is a project vehicle, no doubt about that, but the powertrain is legendarily reliable and the frame is solid enough to drive on-road for a number more years. It needs some brake (count on pads, may need a front passenger caliper as well) and electrical work (taillights stopped working on being picked up improperly by a tow truck from the rear, we figure something got pinched, jammed, or cut, but the truck was parked afterwards) but the rest of the truck functions as it should There is paperwork for roughly 5k worth of mechanical work done back in 2007/2008 as well, the truck was daily driven up til the tow mentioned above (for drained batteries) and parked afterwards. Unless you have a pair of heavy-duty batteries at hand, it WILL need to be towed home, but with a little TLC and some patience, this is a good deal on a tank of a car you just don't see many of any more. If you have any questions, please get in touch, I'll do my best to answer them.
