Food Service Supervisor (Sushi Wara)

Looking for an experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Sushi Wara. Employer: So, Shin Inc. o/a Sushi Wara Working Location: 2082 Comox Ave., Comox, BC, Canada, V9M 1P8 Position: Food Service Supervisor (Permanent) Wage: $18-$20 per hour (to be negotiated) (Overtime pay to be paid at 1.5 regular wage after 8 hrs/day and after 40 hrs/week. Working hours: 30 hours per week (Full-time) Benefit: 4% vacation pay Positions available: 1 Job Duties: - Keep records, such as the amount and costs of foods served, and hours worked by employees - Prepare work schedules and evaluate work performance of employees - Assign and coordinate work of employees to promote efficiency of operations - Supervise the activities of staff and train workers in performance of duties - Inspect serving areas and foods to ensure qualities are met - Involvement in recruitment of food services workers, when required - Resolve customer complaints or concerns Qualification: - Completion of secondary school is required. - Completion of a community college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or related discipline or Several years of experience in food preparation or service are required. - This position requires training staff. - Ability to communicate in English required.
