They are seeking several Heavy Duty Equipment/Lift Truck Mechanics at their various locations in BC and Ontario. Reporting to the Service Manager, this role will be responsible for maintenance and repair of material handling equipment while providing excellent customer service, in the shop or field. While a ticket is required, this is a very rare opportunity as our client is open to all levels of experience. Requirements: Red Seal or Provincial Heavy Duty Equipment or Automotive Mechanic ticket is required (or proven experience in a related industry). High School diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license. Precious aerial platform and lift truck experience. Diesel experience preferred. Experience with Hydraulics and Propane is an asset. Strong computer and troubleshooting skills Ability to work alone/unsupervised. Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Physical ability to lift up to 50lb. Must be able to perform frequent standing, bending, twisting, crawling, kneeling, squatting, climbing, reaching, and grasping. Duties and Responsibilities: Repair various types of material handling equipment: Forklifts, telehandlers, aerial lifts, scissor lifts, pallet jacks, sweepers & scrubbers, and on occasion, specialty equipment. Provide customer service through communication and flexibility with repair work. Other duties as required.
