It borders the larger City of Coquitlam to the North and Pitt Meadows to the East. Requirements: College Degree or equivalent training. Skilled Trade credentials (i.e. Industrial Mechanic / Millwright Trade Certification) are preferred but not required. Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a plant/manufacturing environment. Forklift Certification. General knowledge ISO and SOP. WHMIS and other machine safety courses. Able to repair, install and maintain various manufacturing machinery. Sufficient knowledge of PLC’s to troubleshoot and make minor program changes. Must be able to locate and change fuses, electric motors, read electrical drawings etc. Ability to use metal lathe and milling machinery to modify and fabricate parts. Working knowledge of conveyers, pumps and compressors. Basic skills required in machining and welding to fabricate parts as needed. Good communication skills (written and verbal) and attention to detail when reading. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs such as Word and Excel. Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct preventative maintenance and implement repairs as required of equipment to minimize stoppages in production. Ensure health and safety and housekeeping procedures are followed. Report usage of all spare parts so that inventory can be properly maintained. Work closely with supervision and production staff to ensure that the best-scheduled periods are selected for maintenance, or to best utilize labour during emergency repairs. Report problem areas to the Supervisor and implement improvements as needed. Perform troubleshooting of electrical equipment and circuits. Troubleshoots ladder logic and PLCs by monitoring inputs and outputs. Assist to maintain, test, troubleshoot and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems. Other duties as required. #RedSeal1
