Senior Estimator

As a Senior Estimator, you will be estimating and preparing successful bids for a wide range of Industrial, Commercial and Institutional (ICI) & Residential projects in the Lower Mainland and beyond. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Min 5 years experience with Class B,C,D Estimates in Commercial projects ($5M-$25M). Tenant Improvement (TI) and base build, multi-mix experience a must. Skills and Abilities: Must be familiar with the Metro Vancouver area. Excellent Organization and Communication Skills. Must be able to create and maintain trade and client relationships. Computer skills related to On-Screen take-off and Microsoft Excel. Experience in UDA an asset. Ability to determine and develop unit rate costing for carpentry, concrete, formwork, and demolition/alteration work. Ability to identify problems/issues/risks. Enjoys working on a team. Duties and Responsibilities: Attend pre-bid meetings (Travel may be required). Estimate complete large construction projects from start to finish. Set preliminary budgets for construction management projects, work through the various levels of budgeting as the project design is completed, tracking changes, writing scopes of work for individual trades, and value engineering. Project analysis, sub-trade procurement, forecast scheduling of work, site visits up to and including tender closing day and submittals. Writing of individual scopes of work for trades. Estimate multiple projects at the same time. Other duties as required. Working Conditions: Must comply with office COVID safety measures. Occasional travel to job sites, valid driver’s license and driver’s abstract required.
