Would you like to own a unique one of a kind piece of Victoria restaurant history? The time has come to part with my Original, Vintage, Solid Wood, Carved Sea Galley restaurant sign. Display it in your restaurant, man cave, or just about anywhere you like. The Victoria Sea Galley Restaurant (Not Red Lobster) opened in the newly built Munro Centre at the northwest corner of Vernon Avenue and Saanich Road in the 1980s. It stayed open until 1995, This sign has had just a small handful of owners over the years, and is said to have once belonged to a Council member from one of the GVA's municipalities, (although I can't confirm that). The sign eventually made it's way to a Victoria second hand store where the previous owner purchased it, and then evtually to myself after he owned it for a time. I am guessing I am likely the 4th owner of this piece of Victoria History. The sign is solid wood, carved, all original paint, (nothing has been touched up or restored), so it's in its original state. The sign is 40 Inches Wide, 26 Inches Tall, 1.5 Inches thick, and weighs between 45-50 pounds. I was going to hang it, but ended up puting it in storage for the last couple of years.
