Computer Network Technician (Permanent)

Position: Computer Network Technician (Permanent) Work Hours: 30 hours per week (Full-time) Wage: $29.00 per hour (Overtime pay to be paid at 1.5 times your regular wage after 8 hrs/day and after 40 hrs/wk.) Benefits: 4% vacation fee or 10 days paid vacation Working Location: #216 – 6901 72nd Street, Delta, BC, V4G 0A2 Employer: Evo North Technologies Inc. Job Duties but not limited to the following: • Managing, troubleshooting, fixing, and tracking local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, computer workstations, Internet, and equipment links, • Assess, install, and update software programs for computer hardware, networking and operating systems and upgrade hardware and software for Web servers, • Provide network users with troubleshooting services and run network traffic and security monitoring tools, and optimize server performance, • Establish start-up and shutdown routine network and maintain control records, • Perform data backup and retrieval activities and carry out reviews, security checks, and quality controls. Qualification: • Completion of a college or other program in computer science, network administration, Web technology or a related field is required. • Previous experience and certification or training provided by software vendors is an asset.
