$25 · Special Education Assistant (Pitt Meadows)

Regent Christian Online Academy is seeking a part-time Special Education Assistant, starting immediately in the Pitt Meadows area, with two students (Grade 6 and Grade 7). The position involves approximately 12-15 hours per week, including 6 hours of in-class support within an Outdoor Education class and the remaining hours of in-home support, focused on basic academic skills, social interaction development, and behaviour development across two days. The Special Education Assistant will work closely with the parent each day and carry out activities that have been pre-planned. Support for the Special Education Assistant will also be provided by the parents, therapy providers, and special education teacher. Qualifications: Experience working with individuals with complex needs is highly preferred but those with a strong interest, related experience, or training will also be considered.
