Coming into our care very underweight after giving birth to a large litter of puppies, Minnie will need a caring guardian who can help her gain weight slowly and responsibly. She is still producing a large amount of milk and will need warm compresses daily to help alleviate any discomfort. Fortunately, Minnie is very food motivated! She is very smart and eager to learn new things. She loves to play and is very affectionate. Minnie would do best in a home without other animals. She has lived with children but due to some resource guarding around food, she should live with a home who is comfortable working on these behaviors. She loves all people and is so excited to explore the big world. Having lived most of her life in a yard, Minnie will need slower introductions to new experiences and given great praise when she is introduced to these new things. She has really loved going on walks and is very easily distracted with a treats and some pets. Due to Minnie's current medical condition, we are looking for a foster-to-adopt home who can work with us while we build up her body weight to an ideal number!
