An import and food distribution company based in Port Coquitlam is looking for an experienced logistics coordinator. This role is to help us manager incoming and outgoing shipments whole adhering to the requirements of the CBSA and the CFIA. An attention to detail and a good working knowledge of the Spanish Language is required as we will need to communicate with foreign suppliers in Europe. Primary duties: • Contacting suppliers to place orders • Coordinate suppliers with freight forward companies in Spain and Italy • Call and identify new companies for shipping globally and locally within Canada • Create delivery schedules for delivery drivers in the local area • Create purchase orders in Quickbooks and inventory software • Book international and local shipments with freight companies • Attend Trade shows to promote products and meet clients • Communicate in both Spanish and English (Italian is also an asset) • Book Air Shipments with airline companies • Send all import Documents to Customs broker • Apply for import certificates and keep Safe Foods For Canadian documentation accurate and up to date Desired Experience: • 1-3 years in a similar sales role • Worked with Importing and customs clearing • Strong in Microsoft Office • Class 5 drivers license an asset Desired Skills / Attributes: • Passion and ability to learn on the go • A desire to drive sales and succeed in an entrepreneurial role • Resourcefulness • Solution-oriented • Positive attitude Helping in other areas of the company such as the warehouse may sometimes be required.
