APRIL 25TH - 28TH ONLY - STARTING TOMORROW
Hello! I'm a 78rpm record collector from Victoria, but I'm going to be in Vancouver on the 25th, 26th, 27th with certainty, possibly the 28th.
I'm hoping to pay cold, hard cash for 78rpm records that I'm interested in. For the right 78s, I'll be paying between 1 and 20 dollars PER 78, possibly even in the hundreds if you have a super rare one.
I'm looking for, in order of priority
-International folk music, all eras and continents
-Prewar blues / country / old-time / yodelling / hillbilly
-Bebop, small combo swing and vocal, and some prewar jazz bands
-rock, RB, doo-wop, postwar country, oddities (like birdsong or poetry)
Not looking for:
Post-1935 Big Band
Western and European Classical
Where these are going:
I'm a CompSci student at UVIC running a transcription-themed YouTube channel in my spare time. I'm looking to archive and preserve uncommon and obscure 78s to the digital world, purely running on the love of the music.
I'm NOT looking to resell for profit, or looking to rip you off for cheap. If you have a rare 78 and you don't know it, I'll pay you an honest and fair price.
Be warned: 95% of 78s aren't worth anything, 4% are worth 1-5 bucks and only around 1% are worth more. However, I've picked some very surprising and desirable 78s in the smallest and most unexpected of collections - so if you think any of what you have fits my description above, then I'd love to see what you have!
I'm available for contact via text or call at 4032009696, or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Ideally would like to arrange meet after 6:30pm nightly, but will make time at any point in the day for the right stuff.
