Special Education Assistant

Regent Christian Online Academy, a DL school supporting Christian home learners, is seeking a Special Education Assistants (SEA) to work in home & community settings with students with special education needs. This position involves up to15 hours per week; wage to be discussed upon successful application. The SEA will deliver prepared learning materials, adapt lesson presentation, support, help focus and engage the student. Participation in community learning activities is a part of this position; SEA must be able to provide own transportation. Special education or behaviour intervention background, some teaching skills, and a willingness to be flexible are necessary. Experience with autism is an asset but those with related experience or training, and a willingness to learn will also be considered. Currently there are openings in Burnaby and Surrey.
