Sendial is a shopping and home delivery service for customers unable to shop in-store without assistance. Volunteer Phoners call Sendial customers weekly and complete an Order Form for each order. The following day, Volunteer Shoppers select items from the store shelves and the order is delivered by a Thrifty Foods driver for a $5 fee. Phoner qualifications: Ability to speak slowly and clearly, ability to write or print neatly, ability to pay attention to detail and to document details accurately, willingness to ask questions to customers and get as much product information as possible, willingness to take ongoing instruction. Shopper qualifications: Ability to reach, lift and bend; ability to read small print; ability to hear well; ability to speak slowly and clearly; ability to pay attention to detail and to document details accurately; ability to work independently and take initiative; willingness to take ongoing instruction. Customers are thankful for the interaction from a kind and caring individual and grateful for receiving a grocery delivery. Time Commitment: 2-3 hour shift per week, Monday or Tuesday mornings
