Saito found his way into the West Vancouver branch when his owners fell ill and could no longer give him the special care he requires. He is your typical easy-going, light-hearted golden who is highly food motivated - but do not be fooled by his hungry eyes! He is currently and should remain on a special, limited diet plan in order to lose an excess of 40 pounds and to alleviate a previously untreated skin infection. Lucky for you though food isn't his only motivator. He has quickly shown us that beneath his layers of discomfort he is truly a silly golden at heart! He loves to play tug, and is so attached to his stuffies he carries multiples in his mouth at once! He will need a guardian who is invested in helping him along his weight loss journey, while understanding the importance of slowly increasing the duration so as to not over do it! He is a very sweet boy and has done well in a home with children. If you feel you are the right fit for him, our adoption hours are from 12-4 daily.
