$25 · SPECIALTY FIRESTOPPING APPLICATOR - Experienced

Experienced Applicator required for an established firestopping business on Vancouver Island Starting wage of $2 or dependent on skill level and experience but is fair with performance-based bonus system in place. This is a technical job so the ability to be a quick learner, think outside the box and problem solve is a must. Requirements of the Position: * Is reliable with a strong work ethic. * Fit and energetic. * Has own transportation and working cell phone. * Minimum 1-year experience with firestopping or caulking. Training and certification is provided. * Comfortable with heights using ladders, lifts, scaffolding. Training will be provided to meet company safety standards. * Clean Criminal Record to meet government contract security requirements. * Current WHIMIS certificate as well as other construction tickets such as Aerial Lift, Fall Protection and LOTO would be an asset. * Projects are primarily in the Greater Victoria area however some travel (is compensated) may be required for other areas of Vancouver Island. * Someone that can follow directions, working in a team or on their own should the situation require it. * Enjoys a positive work environment with good people and wants a long-term future in this growing industry.
