Occupational Therapist

Time to focus on what matters. With centralized booking, administrative support, and national contracts with funders, your time will be spent playing a critical hands-on role in building genuine relationships with your clients and connecting with funders to deepen our partnerships. You will have the support and insights of an interdisciplinary, collaborative team and regularly scheduled online meetings to connect over cases, best practices, and socialize with the people you work with. Work with clients experiencing pain due to injury, surgery, or medical conditions. You will deliver excellent client outcomes along a path of recovery and rehabilitation. You will perform assessments, create plans, and conduct treatments to reduce, manage, or limit pain and increase or enhance functionality. This may include implementing a routine of stretching and strengthening exercises, therapeutic massage, joint mobilization, and manipulation. You will work with your team to provide a holistic approach to pain management, including kinesiology, psychology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, exercise therapy, and vocational rehabilitation. You will spend approximately 50% of your time conducting site visits to develop an understanding of your client's job demands in order to provide specific job coaching and planning for reintegration. What you bring: You must be registered as a member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia. You have 3+ years of experience demonstrating strong clinical skills in a complex care setting as part of an interdisciplinary team. You have certification in pain management and 18 months hands-on experience in a multi- or interdisciplinary setting providing treatments to clients experiencing a range of complex pain issues due to medical conditions, post-surgery recovery, or injury. You are empathetic, patient, motivating, and you excel at fostering a trusting relationship with your clients. You have outstanding interpersonal abilities and can work with peers, management, funders, and employers. You are open to working earlier or later in the day, and you can drive in your vehicle to locations up to an hour away from your home.
