Shelter: BC SPCA - Burnaby Animal ID: 488966 Birthdate: June 03, 2010 - Senior Spayed/Neutered: Yes Female Karma is a long-haired senior beauty who came to the BC SPCA when her previous owner could no longer care for her. Karma was so severely matted over her body that she started peeing inappropriately due to stress and pain. She has now received a trendy lion cut and is finally feeling comfortable again so she can enjoy the finer things in life for her golden years. Her sweet, loving side blossomed immediately upon the change. Karma's urinalysis was all clear so the inappropriate peeing was likely due to discomfort and stress. A new guardian will need to be prepared to keep Karma's long coat groomed and tangle free. A quiet, low-stress home without kids would likely be best for this pretty lady, one where she can cuddle up for long petting sessions. As is common with many older cats Karma may have the very early signs of kidney disease which should be monitored with regular yearly vet exams. A guardian should discuss with their vet how to be proactive to help Karma have a long and happy life. Need some good Karma in your life? Stop on by to meet this wonderful companion today! A behaviour counselling session with our Adoption Staff is necessary before adopting an animal.
