This beautiful boy came into our care as a stray with his friend but the owner was no longer able to manage both dogs in the home. Hulki should be called Houdini as he has proven to be quite the escape artist and has figured out the mastery of opening locks. He will need a home with at least a 6 ft fence and yard access, so apartment living is a no go for this hyperactive and vocal gent. He is highly intelligent and will need an experienced guardian who has time and patience to work on obedience training, as well as separation anxiety is a must! Like your typical golden, he loves the water and will often be found trying to fit himself in his water bowl. He is highly excitable and would benefit from an active home with people who enjoy the outdoors so he can burn off that excess energy! He did come from a home with another dog, though has shown to be quite dog selective in shelter and would do best with slow introductions to ensure positive play and social interactions. He is quite affectionate, often head-butting and nudging our elbows for constant praise and approval. He absolutely loves toys and would enjoy passing the time chasing a ball or throwing around his favorite teddy at his leisure.
