We are Oak Avenue Neighbourhood Hub Society, a non-profit neighbourhood house connecting and bringing people from all walks of life together to thrive in our homes, communities and city. Our demographic is diverse and our programs meet community members where they are at- whether they are seniors, youth, or young families, newcomers or long-time residents, and low-income or in difficult transitions. We are posting about our Clothes Closet, which provides free clothing and other supplies to families with children under 12 who are in need. At present the Clothes Closet is supplying clothing to approximately 600 children per year and we are now experiencing a significant increase due to the arrival of refugees to Surrey. Due to the nature of our program, which is free for families to participate in, we rely entirely on donations from the community in order to keep our clothes closet program running. Our program is greatly in need of children's clothing, especially boys clothing from the ages of 6-12, and boys and girls clothing for ages 3-4. If you have any old clothes that you are looking to get rid of, please consider donating to our organization so that they can go to families in need!
