Harry - Domestic Short Hair Kitten

He does very well with his friends and is super outgoing, but when it comes to new people he can be pretty shy and watch from afar. He needs some encouragement in the form of food or toys to build his confidence, and after he knows you he enjoys some head and chin scratches. Harry would do best in an adult only home or with older children that are able help him become his best self. He comes from an environment and a population that is positive for Calicivirus. Harry and his friends came into the branch showing symptoms that included eye and nasal discharge and sneezing & congestion; since being treated with medication their symptoms are now nearly gone, but calcivirus can potentially cause these symptoms to flare up in the future at any time; typically in times of emotional or physical stress. Harry's new family will have to monitor this and give him support should this happen again. Calicivirus is contagious to other cats, and since the virus can remain latent in cat's bodies for many years even after recovery, other cats should be current on their routine vaccinations.
