Founded in 1917, JD Sweid (2013) Foods Ltd. is one of the largest poultry and red meat further processors in Canada. We service both the retail and food service channels and offer high quality products that deliver on taste. With locations in Langley, BC and Waterloo, ON, we employ over 600 people nationally. We are currently looking to add to our team at our Langley, BC facility: SANITATION SUPERVISOR Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for maintaining plant sanitation to HACCP and CFIA standards. In addition, scheduling, training, supervising and motivating sanitation crew members. The Sanitation Supervisor will be responsible for following established food safety and quality procedures. Provisions will be made to cover the absence of an employee in this position. The successful candidate must be able to work graveyard shift. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum five (5) years of sanitation supervisory experience in food production and processing is required, preferable the meat sector Experience with HACCP, food safety, and WHMIS Experience in applying sanitation principles Mechanical aptitude with the ability to apply lockout principles when required Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and solid computer experience Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Possession of OFA Level 2 is an asset WORK CONDITIONS: Wet and cold environment Repetitive physical work Graveyard shift Exposure to and use of hazardous chemicals requiring PPE&nbsp If you or someone you know is interested, you can apply by sending your resume to hr_langley@jdsweid.com or by faxing your resume to (604)882-4703, attention: Human Resources.
