$30 · Vintage Sheet Garters For Sale - Holds Your Flat Sheets in Place

Hi. I have four (of course) brand new sheet garters for sale. They were purchased in the 1980s but stored away and never once used. It is pretty much impossible to find this type of sheet garter on the market any more so, those of you who remember this design will appreciate this find. Most of the garters (or straps, suspenders, fasteners - as they are now called) are simply elastic affairs that often don't quite do the job.

Sheet garters are specifically designed to hold down a flat sheet to a mattress, box spring, or a waterbed so you don't have to buy expensive fitted sheets. If you are frustrated by your bottom sheet shifting and moving around so you end up sleeping on bare mattress, this is why you need sheet garters. Here is a description I found on the Internet of how sheet garters work:

"The bottom of each garter is a rather large, flat, and rounded piece of rubber which fits under the corner of the mattress: the mattress serves as a "weight" on it, thus it does not slip out. There is a longish skinny piece of rubber that comes out from the large, flat rounded piece ... up over the corner end of the mattress. You place the long piece UNDER the sheet. The opposite end of the long piece is small and round and a "garter" attachment slips in and/or out of it. You take the little round rubber garter piece (which you remove from the skinny end's hole) and place it "on top" of the sheet and then feeling with your other hand "under" the sheet, you fasten the little round piece into the circular hole, which is "under" the sheet. This is the same principle as fastening a stocking into a garter. When it's fastened, the weight of the mattress corner holds the large/flat piece down securely and the sheets NEVER come off.
This was the best invention ever for full wave waterbed mattresses.
The regular elastic kind or any kind which hooks under the corners do NOT work with a full wave mattress (and there is the danger of a puncture if they are metal!)."

I am asking $30 for this brand new set of sheet garters.

If you are interested in buying, please e-mail me to arrange a time to pick up. (PLEASE NOTE: I cannot phone or text so please don't give me your phone number.) I am in Langley (close to the Wal-mart). Thank you.
