A beautiful collector piece by distinguished Canadian artist Geoffrey Rock, the S.S. Master was built in 1922 at False Creek, Vancouver, by renowned designed/builder Arthur Moscrop. The 'Master' is the last remaining example of a once formidable fleet of wooden hulled, all steam powered towboats on Canada's West Coast.
Through dedicated efforts by the members of the S.S. Master Society of South Burnaby, BC, and aided by generous contributions, the vessel has now been completely restored to her original configuration of the 1920's. As a result, the Master has been recognized by the British Columbia Heritage Trust as a "Heritage Object", the first ship to be accorded this honour.
This plate is in excellent condition and is number 1024 of a limited edition of 5000.
