Career Opportunity as CHIEF TECHNICAL OFFICER for extremely successful Internet Marketing support services company based in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia.
Reporting to the Systems Director, you are responsible for the strategic planning, standards, structure, redundancy and security of both company and client servers, networks and programming. You must have prior success in designing and implementing all aspects of web-based applications for e-commerce as well as the experience and ability to work in a team environment. You must have solid programming skills, and a minimum 5 years experience with PERL, PHP and MySQL database design. Minimum 3 years experience with Unix/Linux administration is required including system setup, maintenance and multiple server architecture design. Experience in project management and dealing with systems consultants and contractors is a definite bonus. A diploma in computer science is considered a bonus. Alignment with company core values is mandatory. Good oral and written communication skills, exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills, and a working knowledge of Internet trends and technologies are helpful. Knowledge of Affiliate Programs is a plus. Competitive initial Base Salary (DOE), incentive compensation potential to build higher income, plus solid benefits including medical, dental and employee assistance program.
