This is a very finely made Salish basket and Star woven lid from years ago, I am not sure who made it or when it was made, these Baskets were expertly woven with strips of cedar. Sometimes cherry bark was used for certain sections as well. Northwest Coast Native American tribes used these baskets during the picking of berries, harvesting of seafood and also cooking.
8 1/2 deep and 11 1/2 inch's wide,
Has some damage to the lid where it was used to open...
