Calgary Station Area - 1950
The eastward view of the Calgary station area includes the First Street West underpass, the Palliser hotel and the station just beyond it. A freight arrival from the west bypasses the station tracks as the westbound Dominion pulls out headed by one of C.P.'s newest steamers; T1c Selkirk #5931. The station was demolished in the 1960s to make way for the Calgary tower, the Palliser remains and the 5931 now sits at the entrance to Heritage Park (renumbered to 5934).
