1942 LIFE BOAT PROPELLER & PLAQUE Acquired from a demolition of a life boat at The Dock & Slipway, Eel Pie Island, The River Thames, London, England. Eel Pie Island is famous for the old hotel on the island where British rock bands used to play and hang out (such as The Rollin Stones, The Kinks, Eric Clapton and Rod Stewart, to name a few). The lifeboat was made by Lane Life Boat & Davit Corp. New York, N.Y. in 1942. Propeller & plaque are solid brass, mounted on a walnut plaque, with black wood frame. 10 1/2 x 15 1/2 inches.
